3rd Cousins' Day at the Library

On July 15th we had our third cousins' day where we met our cousins at the library.  Before we left Lola was barking like crazy outside of the house.  We went out to investigate what the problem was and we discovered that an armadillo was hiding from Lola by the big magnolia tree.  I didn't like the idea of the armadillo digging up the roots to our beautiful tree so I tried poking it with a stick so it would run away.  Apparently whatever was in the ground by the tree was more enticing than the fear of being poked with a stick and he just buried himself deeper in the ground.  Here is our Armadillo!

Here is the woman at the library who reads to us at story time.  She has a puppet called Candy Man and the kids love to sing the song for the puppet.  By our third time at the library the kids are familiar with the puppet and they are begging for him to be brought out.

Here are Annamae, Alec, Malachi, and Aunt Laurel listening raptly to the story this week.

I am not sure what is happening here, but I think it has to do with the fact that I asked Nathan to stop squirming around the room.  His personal protest to good behavior is to lie down on the ground and pout today.
